So here’s some interesting stuff. It doesn’t say its any particular flavor other than ‘pho.’ Not beef or veggies or chicken. I’m going to guess beef. The picture looks kinda beefy.
Serious labeling here – paste soup, powder soup. Kind of makes my comments here pointless. On the obverse of the powder soup is the list of ingredients. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that, nor have I see the measurements as on these.
The noodles are cool looking – very uniform. The paste was asking for a little taste – very spicy!
Click image to enlarge. Added two fried eggs and a pinch of Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning. So this is some awesome stuff! The noodles have a nice freshness to them. They don’t seem like they’re fried. The broth and veggies are really really good – some spicy bit in there that have my tongue burning!!! Good quality going on here. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.
More home video of people I don’t know from YouTube.
So I have been waiting to have the last Rhee Bros Assi Brand pack – some really good stuff in the past. I am curious how anchovy will be!
One packet. Big packet.
‘The interesting looking rice noodles cower underneath the majestic power of the contents of the single packet.
Click image to enlarge. Added one fried egg that was seasoned with a bit of Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Salt Free veggie seasoning. Some good stuff here – a flavor I’m not used to, anchovy seems a slight fishy and ‘of the sea.’ The noodles were spectacular in their consistency and the broth was nice. The veggies were ample. Long story short, good stuff – 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.
So here’s another Rhee Bros. Assi Brand Wellbeing noodle pack comin’ atcha.
I really like how these noodles look – very neat and tidy, as is the flavor packet.
Awaiting boiling water and a record on top.
Added two fried eggs as this was breakfast and also threw a pinch of Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning atop the eggs for a little flavor but mostly aesthetics.
Noodles are good – there’s a decent kick of spiciness going on that is absorbed by them. The broth is quite spicy hot, and the small amount of vegetables aren’t too bad. I really would’ve liked more veggies though. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars.
Well well well… More of the Assi Brand boxes. Wellbeing. We shall see!
Wow! Uber packet! My curiosity is piqued!
Welcome to trippy looking rice noodle land! What are all those things in the powder? What is Katsuo flavor??? Is that it? Well, Wikipedia says Katsuo flavor is… Skipjack tuna flavor! Katsuo is Japanese! Okay so this is getting more and more interesting… So what we have here are some seafood flavor noodles with funky bits going on…
Welcome to the social (click image to enlarge). So what we have here aree some interesting rice noodles with a lot of friends invited. First, let’s start with the noodles. Angel hair thin and seperate, these noodles are some of the best I’ve had in a box or bowl noodle hands down. The broth was seafood taste (rather nice of the sea) and groovy on the flavor receptor. The interesting friend of noodle here were quite excellent – looks like bits of naruto, some seaweed and some funny little things that remind me of jellyfish or some Korean rice cakes that I saw used in a cooking video. Regardless, this has been a fascinating, new and fun tromp through the garden of weird. I’m giving this one 4.0 out of 5.0 stars. Magnificent.
Alrighty! Some Rhee Bros Assi Brand action going on here – let’s have a look….
The noodles are packaged and then one packet of dry seasoning.
A very interesting melange of bits and pieces in there… Notice the shininess of the noodles.
Click image to enlarge. A pleasant surprise here – a lot of veggies were in with the powder apparently. There’s some little pieces of seaweed I think and some of those Korean rice cakes? They are either that or bean curd but I’m not sure – either way the broth is excellent – seafood and spicy going on here and the noodles are very nice. I’m giving this one 3.75 out of 5.0 stars – quite good!
Here’s the video I posted on the last Rhee Bros noodles. So check it out!
