#1953: Prima Taste Singapore Fish Soup La Mian

I’ve been wanting to try this one for a really long time and the folks at Prima Taste were kin enough to send it to me recently! Thank you very much! Pretty sure this has been around just as long as the curry and laksa la mian varieties – been a long wait! As I don’t have any fish really, I’m going to go with a little assortment of seafood – sounds good to me! Let’s dig in!

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Contains fish and chicken. To prepare, add contents of fish stock sachet to 500ml water and bring to a boil. Add in noodle block and simmer for 5 1/2 minutes. Turn heat back up to full and add in the contents of the fish soup spice oil sachet and cook an additional 1/2 minute. Stir and enjoy! I see it also says ‘for a more robust taste, add 2 tsp Chinese cooking wine or 1/2 tsp of whisky.’

The noodle block.

A large fish stoch sachet.

Has a nice fish scent.

A large oil sachet.

Getting a light sesame scent.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added Dodo prawn flavor fish ball, carved squid, shrimp, spring onion and chilli paddi. The noodles are thick and full of chewiness – just perfect as Prima Taste’s noodles usually are. The broth is very good. Sesame oil notes along with a nice seafood flavor abound – not too much and not too little. Classy stuff. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 8886350067946.

Here’s the one that’s been on my top ten list for a while now – Prima Taste Laksa La Mian, 185g, (Pack of 12)
