#1926: Nissin Bowl Noodles Hot & Spicy Chicken Flavor Less Sodium Ramen Noodle Soup

Here’s a new one from Nissin – a lower sodium version of their Hot & Spicy chicken bowl! Not many lower sodium varieties cross my desk usually – this one is 30% lower than the regular Hot & spicy chicken bowl. Let’s check it out!

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Contains chicken. To prepare, remove lid and add in non-liquid sachets. Add room temperature water to fill line and microwave (1000W) for 3 minutes. Let sit for 1 additional minute in the microwave. Stir and enjoy!

Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).

The noodle block.

The soup base sachet.

Has a nice zesty scent.

The vegetable sachet.

Quite a decent quantity and nice mixture.

The ‘Soup Booster’ sachet.

A seasoned oil with a spicy scent.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added coriander, baked chicken and hard boiled egg. The noodles come out of the microwave piping hot and soft – nicely so. The broth has a very good flavor despite it being a lower sodium variety. The included veggies hydrated nicely. The Soup Booster’s oiliness gives the broth a good thickness. Kind of like a Mexican instant noodle bowl. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.  UPC bar code 070662096413.
