#1920: Itsuki Ramen Tonkotudou Kumamoto Noodles

Here’s yet another one sent to me by Casey P. from Hong Kong! Thanks again! This one screams fancy – big and gold packaging. Shiny! Let’s see what we have here.

Here’s the distributor/import sticker (click to enlarge). Contains pork and chicken.

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Okay so this pack looks to have two servings and from the looks of it, the instructions are for a single serving. To prepare, add one bundle of noodles to 500ml boiling water. Cook for 2 minutes. Stir in contents of large dry powder sachet and cook for 30 seconds. Take off heat and add contents of large liquid sachet and stir. Plate and garnish with Smaller liquid sachet and crunchy bits. Enjoy!

Wow – fancy!

A bindle of ramen.

The dry soup base.

A light powder with dark flecks.

The large liquid sachet.

Has a nice pork scent.

A liquid garnish sachet.

Thick and dark.

The second garnish sachet.

Fried garlic methinks.

Finished (click to enlarge). Thought I’d leave this one as is. The noodles are very nice – excellent chew and thickness – I liked them alot. The broth. It was very nice until the addition of the garnish sauce, which seems to be a lot of black garlic oil. It was so bitter and overpowering that it just… Ruined the whole thing. I think without it it wouold have been a great bowl with a good score, but I follow directions, and so it wasn’t. 0.75 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4901726011843.

I can totally recommend this one. Itsuki – Kumamoto Mokkosu Ramen for 1 Servning
