#1782: Western Family Beef Flavour Instant Noodles

Thanks to my sister Sue for bringing me these back from a recent trip to Victoria, BC! I’ve never been a big fan of Canadian instant noodles, but I always hold out hope for a brand to have a variety that’s really good. Let’s see what this store brand hasd inside.

Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil 2 cups of water and “insert” the noodle block into the boiling water and cook 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and add in contents of seasoning and stir. Enjoy!

The noodle block.

The soup base sachet.

Has a kind of beef scent.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added broccoli, beef, red pepper flake and mung bean sprouts. After 3 minutes of cooking, the noodles weren’t very good at all. It’s like they had a film on the outside that just didn’t ring right in my mouth. The flavor of the broth was as bland as can be. It’s rare that I feel like I need to either dump salt or soy sauce into an instant noodle broth. There is no merit here. 0.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 062639297176.
