#1737: Mie Sedaap Instant Cup Mi Goreng

It’s been really hard to find new varieties from Indonesia lately and I was really stoked to find a total of four of them the other day! I always try to keep things mixed up – reviewing a different product from a different country every day if possible. It can be tough sometimes but lately I’ve been ending up with quite a range of varieties which is great. Anyways, let’s check out this one from Indonesia!

Detail of the side panels (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, take everything out. Add in the vegetables sachet and fill to line with boiling water and let steep covered for 4 minutes. Poke holes in the lid and use to drain off water. Add in contents of remaining sachets except fried onions. Stir well and then garnish with fried onion. Enjoy!

An included fork!

The noodle block.

The powder seasoning base.

A very light powder.

A triple sachet (from left to right): chilli sauce, seasoned oil and sweet soy sauce.

The three mingling in a cup.

The vegetables sachet.

Lots of little bits of greenery.

The garnish sachet.

Crunchy fried onion.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added white onion, kerupuk aci, shrimp and lime. The noodles were round in nature and rather light. The flavor leaned more towards the sweet and the oiliness made it very slippery. I detected a light spiciness to it. The fried onion was very good. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8998866200813.
