Another one sent by a kind reader from Sweden – thank you! I’ve had Yum Yum noodles in the past, but I’ve never seen any instant noodle that was wasabi flavor. I did have a Zaru Soba once that had dipping sauce that had a strong wasabi flavor, but none where wasabi was the only flavor! Yum Yum is a popular brand in northern Europe – I heard recently that people refer to many brands of instant noodles there simply as ‘Yum Yum.’ Wasabi eh? Let’s check it out!

Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add contents of package to bowl. Add 320ml boiling water and cover for 3 minutes. Stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A soup base sachet.
Has a light scent – almost chickenny.
Finished (click image to enlarge). Added coriander and crab stick. The noodles pretty good; a little too crumbly on the chew though. The broth has a wasabi flavor as advertised. It seems kind of like it’s accompanying a kind of chicken-like backdrop. The broth is pretty thin, but has an interesting flavor. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8852018101048.
Although I couldn’t find the Wasabi flavor, they have this Creamy Shrimp Tom Yum on Amazon by Yum Yum.
A Yum Yum noodle TV commercial.
