#1163: Chewy Rice Vermicelli Spicy Beef With Chilli Flavour

Another one from my birthday trip to Canada in March – thanks, Kit! Hot and spicy sounded like something I could go for today. Let’s see how this spicy rice vermicelli comes out – I must admit I don’t see spicy rice vermicelli variants ofter.

Here’s the import sticker (click image to enlarge).

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Appears to be meat free but check for yourself.

The ‘nest’ of rice vermicelli.

Soup base powder sachet.

Has a salty and beeflike flavor.

Vegetable sachet.

Smells like herbs.

Liquid paste sachet.

I get a chilli oil scent with a hint of meat.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added beef seasoned with Lindberg-Snider Porterhouse & Roast Seasoning, Fresno peppers, green onions and Walla Walla sweet onions. The Noodles are very thin and wispy. A lot of them, but not a strong sense of being ‘filling.’ The broth is interesting; it has a nice chilli oil aspect and good richness. The vegetable bits hydrated alright. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 6920377218351.

Chewy commercials from a ways back.
