#1068: Koka Oriental Style Instant Noodles Stir Fried Noodles

Here one I got from Martin A. of Devon, England! Thanks! He says this is one of his favorites – I think it’s time to give it a try. I have a big hamper full of instant noodles that don’t get picked out of as much lately what with all of the Meet The Manufacturers I’ve been doing… This one is sold in England but made in Singapore – let’s check it out!

Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). Looks to be one that would work great for vegetarians. Martin mentioned he’s vegetarian and that it would be nice if it would say whether a pack or cup had meat in it and so lately (as long as I can translate), I have been mentioning this at the end of the blurb I put below the back of the pack/side panels view. If it’s something you like, make sure to comment and thank him!

A dual packet of powdered soup base and seasoned oil.

The soup base.

The seasoned oil.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added sauteed beef, broccoli, Vidalia sweet onion, red and orange bell pepper and kizami shoga (pickled ginger). The noodles have a very ‘usual’ instant noodle gauge and texture. The flavor is pretty good – it has a nice and sharp black pepper hit and then a well rounded finish. This is very good! 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 8888056708109.

  1. I’m really curious where you’re from, Kate! I just had these. I like spicy food, and I enjoyed the spice here. It was right about the perfect level of spice for my tastes; prominent, but not uncomfortable or unenjoyable. And the flavor was fairly nice. I personally rated it a 4 – on a scale of 10 I’d go with a 7.

  2. Are you kidding here? I think mine has been switched as a joke or something… currently dying from chilli heat. Was yours really that normal? I’m going to put the packet in my pocket incase the paramedics need it!
