#620: Vifon Phu Gia Mien Instant Bean Thread Bamboo Shoot & Artificial Pork Flavor

Another ‘bottom of the hamper’ pick. Not a huge fan of the bean thread – you surely know that if you’re a follower of this blog. Really hoping to become one though – maybe pork will change my view.

Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge).

From left to right we have seasoning powder, seasoned oil and then the veggie packet.

Everything awaiting the 400mL of boiling water, a cover, and three minutes to steep.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Well, I don’t think this will be the turning point where I all of a sudden embrace bean thread. It’s slimy and funky stuff – the noodles are like a gross tangle of oddness. The broth is really salty and the floaty pork-like tidbits are beyond artificial. This one doesn’t get my vote. 1.25 out of 5.0 stars.

I like the Tu Quy stuff way better.

You will be forever changed by watching this. Be Warned.

After i tried and tasted it im done with the so called vermicelli “noodles”
It seems like you eat a bowl of boiled vomit… the noodles taste like they are made of plastic and make you almost want to puke… no doubt!
