#203: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Hot & Spicy Flavor

So going to have another one of these today. This looks like the most basic one.

Again, only one packet.

A little blurry, but I think you get the picture. Dark red. Paprika, beef stock and pollock? Weird…

Click image to enlarge. All sorts of interesting stuff in here! Well first off, it’s hot and spicy I’ll give it that. Opted for no fried eggs – already had two in the Kimchi variation of this stuff earlier. Was kind of blah – very boring. The little bits’n’pieces were interesting, but this just seemed like a bore. I’m giving it 2.0 out of 5.0 stars – perhaps eggs would’ve saved it but I don’t think so. Get it here.

Products cooked according to package instructions. Product reviews done prior to adding any additional ingredients.

Wow. You’ve done so many reviews, for some reason I thought you had reviewed this one. I’m excited about this one since I’ve actually had it before. I know it’s rated as nothing special, but as all I’d had previously were Maruchan and Top Ramen, in comparison, I thought it was awesome. Plus those cute little spiral fish sausage slices (any anime fan will jump to tell you it’s “naruto”) really sold me on it. ^_^ I’ve seen kimchi and chicken at the store, but I was a bit scared to try them. Especially kimchi. But I might actually try the chicken one since it got the best review out of them. I love reading your ramen reviews. =) Keep it up!

They’re fish sausage? Really? I’ve been wondering what they were for eons! Thanks for the heads up! Yeah just to let you in on something – I’ll be reviewing the Lobster one! We found it the other day!!! Still hunting for Seafood flavor though. As for the anime, I’m old – Star Blazers, Robotech and Galaxy Express 999 – not so sure about the Naruto.

The new version in the paper sleeve is prtty gross. I think they changed the noodle formulation due to the product being microwavable now. When I pulled it out of the micro the noodles were “dead” and really soft.

I tried that and it still tasted gross. They’re manufacturing it in a different bowl now. It used to be a polystyrene bowl and now they’re using plastic. I really think they changed the noodle formulation to compensate the bowl change.

I noticed the change in taste, but I thought it was the the spice. Maybe there’s just less of it in the packet, but it doesn’t seem as spicy to me anymore. Still love it though.
