#177: Vifon Hu Tieu Bo Kho An Lien Beef flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodle

So another day and some more noodles my lady picked for me. This one’s Vietnamese and looks a lot like pho. At least on the package.

Powder, veggies and oil. I must say I  don’t usually see veggies in a shiny foil packet…

The oil was very strong smelling – not a bad odor though. It kind of reminded me of tuna fish…

So let’s see how this one tastes (click image to enlarge). First, the noodles… slightly wider than most rice noodles I find… Also much mushier. But they’re good I like them. Now onto the broth… Now that’s interesting. I don’t know exactly what it tastes like but I like it. The veggies in there aren’t too great but they’re nice. I wish there were more of them. For the second time in two days, I have found fake meat in the noodles! This stuff is very chewy, like beef. I’m thinking its gotta be tofu or textured vegetable protein.A lot of oil on the sides of the bowl… An option to spice things up would’ve been nice – a small pepper packet perhaps. All in all, quite surprised how interesting this instant noodle was – I’m going to give it a 3.75 out of 5.0 stars and recommend that it be tried.
