#70: Nissin Demae Ramen XO Sauce Seafood Flavor

I figured this’d be a good gamble. Seafood flavor ramen usually isn’t my thing, but what the heck, let’s be adventurous!

Three packets? Luxuriant! I’m used to Nissin holding back on the sachets but not in this one! Was very curious to see how this stuff would taste…

I’m giving this one a 4 out of 5 stars (click image to enlarge). That’s a pretty impressive rating and here’s why: it has some character. Yes, this stuff really surprised me. It kind of reminded me of a nice butter garlic sauce on some whitefish. But a little tiny bits version in the broth and it wasn’t overly fishy tasting; I was impressed! If you can’t find it at your local Asian market (or there isn’t one local to you), you can find it for sale here.

Products cooked according to package instructions. Product reviews done prior to adding any additional ingredients.

Had this ramen for lunch and it was great! The broth was a great blend of spices with a shrimpy seafood smell that was pleasant. XO Sauce is good stuff.

Had this for lunch a couple days ago and wanted to research other flavors from the same MFG. That’s how I ended up here. This flavor was good on it’s own…but kind of good like a honda civic is a “good car”. Call it better than average. but after adding a bit of sriracha…yeah…i’ll be buying more. I need to bring a couple eggs to work with me now as well.

Just found these from my local asian mart.
Cooked with fresh shrimp, been peas, shallots, shitake mushrooms, a splash of sesame oil, soy sauce and a dash of cholula chipolte sauce. Amazing!!!!!!
